Kenanga is the Indonesian name, in English known as ylang-ylang. This flower is very popular in Indonesia, cause of fragrance. There are two type of ylang-ylang, Macrophylla known as ordinary ylang-ylang and Genuina known as Filipino ylang-ylang. In addition, there is also known shrub ylang-ylang, which is widely planted as decoration in the home.Ordinary ylang-ylang is a common native plant in Indonesia and Philippines. It is also commonly grown in Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia. Cananga is a typical flower (Floral identity) of north Sumatra province in Indonesia. It is plants have scented flowers and fragrant so refine in to perfume. Many areas in Indonesia used the flowers occupy for roles in special ceremonies such as marriage and in traditional culture.
