Graviola had growing at my garden in Indonesia name is "Sirsak". Every time show the flowering but not become fruit. You can see the exotic flowering below. " Graviola" or "Soursop" is the fruits comes from rain forest like Africa, Southeast Asia and South America.

This plant can be grown in any place, for best planted in an area that is quite watery. Soursop is grown commercially or sideline to take the fruit. The tree can reach a height of 9 meters. In Indonesia, soursop can grow well at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level. The Soursop name comes from the Dutch is "Zuurzak", which means that the acid bag.

The flesh of the fruit consists of an edible, rich of some fiber, white pulp and a core of indigestible and black seeds inside. Be careful with the seeds do not consume, because it is poisonous and can be used as a natural insecticide, like sugar apple seeds. The fruit contains of vitamin B1, vitamin B2, and vitamin C, another contains a lot of carbohydrates, especially fructose.


 

The pulp is also used to make fruit juice drinks, candies, sorbets, and ice cream flavorings. The fruit’s widespread cultivation and popularity in parts of Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia and the Pacific, Soursop and its derivative products are consumed across the world. Laboratory and field research suggests that Soursop-derived substances may have potential for various future applications.


They have shown antileishmanial, anti-inflammatory, cytotoxic, antinociceptive, anti-diabetic and anticancer effects in laboratory experiments. The Large scale studies in humans have not been done. Graviola is widely promoted as a alternative cancer treatment.
