 White Frangipani

Frangipani white color is included a genus of flowering plants in the dogbane family, Apocynaceae. Frangipani are native to Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America as far south as Brazil but have been spread throughout the world's tropics. In Indonesia local name Frangipani called "Bunga Kamboja", "Semboja". Many people in Indonesia and Malaya planted frangipani flowers in the cemetery as a shade plant and place marker.

 

The French botanist given name for Frangipani with Plumeria, He is Charles Plumier (1646-1706), Pulmeria in Indonesia now is the most popular tree, especially on the Bali island. In Bali it is planted in almost every corner of the village and the temple has important functions in the local culture. 

 

Frangipani is included in the genus Plumeria. Form of leaves with elongated oval shape and has a fin bones. Fragrant flowers that emit a very distinctive aroma, with a crown of white, pink to purplish red, usually five strands. Flower with four petals or six strands of a particular society is considered to have supernatural powers. Tree can be easily propagated through stem cuttings. The tree now is popularly used as an ornamental outdoor plant.
