At the top of my house planted some Kumquat tree in the pots. The Kumquat tree is easy to flowering, if you always do to watering and fertilization. To more produce of fruit is better to planted in the land, not in the pots. For my house is a limited area, must be planted in pots at the top of may house. You can see  many fruit at the tree. I take the picture in this morning when seeing the tree. Please enjoy to see the pictures at the page. The fruit closely resembles that of the orange (Citrus Sinensis), but is much smaller, being approximately the size and shape of an olive. The English name " Kumquat " derives from the Cantonese pronunciation " Gam gwat".

Benefit of  Kumquat.
Many people used Kumquat as  medicine. The Kumquat is efficacious for cough remedies and leaves for an upset stomach. Besides all the benefit, Kumquat is widely used by people for hanging plants, sweets and syrup. Kumquat syrup has unique flavors and aroma become very tasty. If you are interested to trying make syrup, here is  how to make Kumquat syrup :

Ingredients:

500 grams Kumquats
400grams of sugar
400 CC of water
1 tablespoon of salt

If you like, can be added with other ingredients such as flavoring Kiamboy candied red fruit, honey etc.

How to make:

1. Rinse all the kumquat fruit and remove the base where fruit stalk. Then cut crosswise kumquat on the edge, remove the seeds.

2. Enter the Kumquats in to the pot, give water until covered kumquats, the add 1 tablespoons salt.Boil until the oranges peel change color. After that the drain the fruits.

3. Boil sugar and 400 cc of water. Cook until sugar dissolves and boil.

4. Enter the Kumquats  into the sugar solution, cook until slightly orange transparent  and syrup thickens about 10 minutes.

5. Cool the Syrup  and put in sealed jars.

6. Kumquats Syrup ready to eating
