Cassava , manioc , tapioca ( cassava , manioc , Manihot esculenta ) , is the root crops are from Latin America , which is now spread throughout the world . The genus Manihot are about 100 species . Includes utilisima Manihot species , leafy variegata and cultivated as an ornamental plant . Cassava is also the one rubber Manihot species , namely Manihot glaziovii or Ceará rubber tree .

Kandungan Nutrisi yang tinggi didalam daun singkong, serta bemanfaat bagi kesehatan tubuh. Daun singkong dapat menjadi  menu alternatif pengganti sayuran lain, karena mengandung gizi yang sama seperti Bayam, Kangkung atau Katuk.
